World War 2 weapon 2 the Japenese Type 100 submachinegun

The Japanese's main submachine gun was the Type 100. Although it was not produced well enough ( only 30,000 were produced) and it's bullet underpowered (8 by 22 Nambu round or about a .380 ACP) it was popular among Japanese troops. It had a 30 round clip and when attached looks like a Sten , which I will make a blog for soon. One paratrooper version had a foldable stock (only 200 were made since the stock was weak.

World War 2 weapon 1 the Arisaka rifle

I'm starting a WW2 weapons blog. I'm doing the Japanese first. I will start with the Arisaka rifle. A bolt action rifle with 5 round clips ( maybe not clips ) which replaced the Murata rifle. It was created by Colonel Nariakira Arisaka. The Japanese used this rifle for the whole war and it was massed produced. There were different variants of it from the Type 30 to the Type 99. Production ceased at the end of the war after the Japanese surrendered and spare ammo was dumped into Tokyo Harbor. The Arisaka served from 1898-1945. If the mum ( symbol ) is still their it's worth more since the Japenese were ordered to destroy their mums. Most leftover Arisakas were imported to other countries.
