Medieval times Part 1

It was October 29, 312 AD when 40-year old general Constantine claimed leadership of the Western Roman Empire. His army bore crosses on their shields as they marched into Rome. The previous Emperor, Maxentius, was defeated at the Battle of Milvian Ridge, and drowned in a river bed by his own heavy armor. After killing Maxentius’ “nearest“ friends, Constantine disbanded the Praetorian Guard. Although he then was Emperor of the Western Empire he still had to fight the leaders of Central and Eastern Rome ( Licinius and Maxminus Daia ). Constantine didn’t want to fight two wars at the same time so he made a compromise with Licinius, who was closer to Constantine and his strength was weaker. They would remain at peace if Licinius, then 60, would marry Constantine’s half-sister Constantia. Licinius then attacked Daia’s larger army with his smaller army. His army rallied under the Cross and routed Daia and surrounded him within the city of Tarsus. Daia took poison but he had a large “ last meal“ and it took four days for the poison to be fatal, and he suffered painful cramps and blinded himself by banging his eyes out of the sockets. After he exiled and later killed Lincius, Constantine united Rome under the Cross which, having no true homeland, could be easily taken on as a religion by almost anybody.

Melian Dialogue: Athenians vs. Melians

In ancient time, after the Athenians attacked the neutral state Melos , the Melians tried to negotiate a peace that they claimed to the Athenians "we will be your friend and no ones enemy". The Athenians didn't want to lose face and be considered weak as leading state, so they kept with their old deal to the Melians: "Surrender and pay tribute to Athens or be destroyed". The Melians argued that the Gods were on their side and that their Spartan kin would help protect their State. The Athenians countered by saying Gods and Humans alike respect strength over moral arguments. Overall the Athenians said "the strong will do what they do and the weak shall suffer what they must"and also saying "there is no shame in surrendering to a stronger enemy". The Melians rejected and were subjected to a siege and were eventually taken over. All adult men were killed and women and children were sold into slavery. This is a example of Realism in International Relations because the order of Nations had to build upon the relative strength. The weak has to obey the strong.

World War 2 weapon 2 the Japenese Type 100 submachinegun

The Japanese's main submachine gun was the Type 100. Although it was not produced well enough ( only 30,000 were produced) and it's bullet underpowered (8 by 22 Nambu round or about a .380 ACP) it was popular among Japanese troops. It had a 30 round clip and when attached looks like a Sten , which I will make a blog for soon. One paratrooper version had a foldable stock (only 200 were made since the stock was weak.

World War 2 weapon 1 the Arisaka rifle

I'm starting a WW2 weapons blog. I'm doing the Japanese first. I will start with the Arisaka rifle. A bolt action rifle with 5 round clips ( maybe not clips ) which replaced the Murata rifle. It was created by Colonel Nariakira Arisaka. The Japanese used this rifle for the whole war and it was massed produced. There were different variants of it from the Type 30 to the Type 99. Production ceased at the end of the war after the Japanese surrendered and spare ammo was dumped into Tokyo Harbor. The Arisaka served from 1898-1945. If the mum ( symbol ) is still their it's worth more since the Japenese were ordered to destroy their mums. Most leftover Arisakas were imported to other countries.

Pirates online part 2 weapon upgrades 1

As you get weapon experience you can upgrade your weapon. Get better ammo, reload faster, and combos are part of it. Along with making an earlier upgrade even better. Right now I only know all ammo for cannon which are round shot, chain shot, grape shot, flame shot, ghost shot, lightning, an d grappling. Round shot is normal. Chain shot is good for destroying sails and masts. Grape shot is used for people on boats and sea monsters. Flame shot burns easier, ghost shot I don't know. Lightming is good for everything, and grappling hooks are for flagships. There are upgrades that help you reload faster too.
